Luke & Emma’s wedding photography started with photography of the bridal preparations at the lovely Easton Grange in Suffolk. The beams and beautiful natural wood textures photographed well with details such as the wedding dress, shoes and wedding bouquets. After a little photography of the bride’s makeup and hair having the final tweaks I set of to the coast – to the Brudenell Hotel in Aldeburgh to catch Luke with his groomsmen, then move to Our Lady & St Peters Catholic Church. Such a sweet church, and in sunshine the front of the church photographed so well, the archway framing photos perfectly. Emma & Luke had amazingly planned this wedding to perfection while living overseas! Sunflowers were chosen for bouquets and church flowers, as Emma’s favourites, and Scottish bagpipes were arranged to lead her in as a surprise in honor of her grandmother.
After the church service we took the very closest of family photos by the church archway before making the journey back to Easton Grange for drinks, canapes and a big surprise before the wedding breakfast. None of the guests were aware, but the team from Kudos Combat were preparing for an awesome Chinese Dragon dance display. The sound of drums from inside the barn got the guests attention, before the dragons appeared and continued to dance for the guests, eat cabbages (and spit the leaves!) , as well as eating guest’s fascinatiors, climbing on the tables. The display went down extremely well and was a great addition to the wedding.
There were a few more family group photographs to gather, before taking Emma & Luke for a stroll around the lovely grounds at Easton Grange, taking in greenery, woodland, the bridge, grasses and flowers in different areas of the grounds. I like to take the couple’s photos alone after the fuss of gathering group photos, so they get a chance to have some peace and quiet and take it all in, before returning to Easton Grange’s barn for the wedding breakfast.
